The Sourcing Excellence Specialist will support the evaluation, enhancement and development of Okta’s Strategic Sourcing & Procurement (SS&P) processes across categories and regional organizations. This includes, but is not limited to Sourcing Toolkits, Governance, Manage Spend Under Management, Project Pipeline Management, Scorecards, Spend & Savings Analytics, Quarterly Business Reviews, Management of Sourcing Tools.

SEA will report to the Sourcing Excellence Leader (SEL) and will closely collaborate with other functions like rest of the SS&P team, Finance Transformation, Business Technology, Finance leaders and other stakeholders as needed to develop and implement strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain standardized reporting of spend, savings, project pipeline while partnering with other business groups as needed
  • Develop and maintain standard metrics/ dashboard reporting with regard supplier and sourcing performance
  • Convert raw data sets into insightful sources of information for reporting
  • Present analyses to internal and external audiences at all organizational levels in a user-friendly, intelligent way
  • Support RFx processes including data gathering, spend analytics, and supplier research
  • Lead initiatives to maintain Systems, Process and Policies as it relates to Sourcing and Procurement operations, ensure compliance. Partner with other areas within Sourcing & Procurement organization as needed
  • Create and lead the Sourcing Savings Pipeline Management process, support Category Managers in building project pipeline and increasing understanding of SS&P value across the organization
  • Identify and implement ways to improve Procurement Systems through partnership with other Business areas and third parties
  • Perform spend analysis to support business objectives and build business case as needed for various projects
  • Track and flag compliance to relevant Sourcing policies and procedures, both within SS&P and Business Organizations
  • Support Global Category Managers to drive and implement Global/ Regional Category Strategies
  • Support delivery and validation of Savings for Global Category Managers
  • Identify and maintain SS&P’s training requirements, both technical and professional
  • Support ad-hoc requests by Management to ensure data driven business decisions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Sourcing professional with strong background rooted in process-based sourcing
  • Strong analytic abilities
  • Experience with sourcing processes (tendering, RFx, supplier negotiations, and contracting) across geographies and multiple spend categories
  • Experience working with IT to create cloud database to stand up reporting and score card capabilities
  • Strong Financial acumen
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams at once while reporting to several groups
  • Strong time management and organization skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong presentation skills with emphasis on converting analyses into intuitive presentations
  • Strong Project Management
  • Interest in IT Services and data analytics infrastructure
  • Experience using e-Sourcing tools (e.g., SCOUT) and P2P systems (e.g., COUPA)

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience (Within sourcing & Procurement, Finance)
  • Strong understanding of Strategic Sourcing and Procurement operations and processes (executing RFXs etc.)
  • Degree in Finance, Management, Business, or equivalent domain
  • System implementation experience is a plus
  • Consulting background is a plus
  • Foreign languages are a plus
  • Expert ability with applications like MS Excel, Tableau and MS PowerPoint
