Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Supply Chain Managers are responsible for the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials. They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels. They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain. Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals.

A Day in the Life

  • Serve as global centralized subject matter expert for demand planning within Global AUTO business.
  • Expertise in demand planning process at different levels, strong knowledge in forecast techniques and statistical modelling and solid experience in improving forecast accuracy by engaging and leading critical stakeholders including marketing, sales, supply chain, etc.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills as business process owner to drive the tactical execution of business processes and enhancement of planning system (SAP IBP preferred) with IT and business users.
  • Able to identify process gap, challenge current process, design and lead process maturity measurement.
  • Drive demand planning visibility by digitization and utilize advance digitized tools, machine learnings to improve the process.
  • Partner with functional leaders in region to set up skill network, drive competency improvement and promote best- practices.
  • Define improvement projects/Kaizen initiatives for process standardization globally to address and mitigate existing cross regional planning issues and enable the regional team to deploy and execute accordingly.
  • Support regional or global projects or assignments as required or needed.

What your background should look like:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or Business Administration
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in planning field e.g. Supply chain planning, Business Planning, logistics, procurement or Operations
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP, SAP IBP, or relevant end to end planning tool in a global planning environment is required
  • APICS, Lean certification, IBF or equivalent certification is a plus
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in managing a business transformation initiative, process and system implementation project with solid business improvement result and cross-functional teams
  • Be able to motivate and influence multiple levels across organization
  • Self-driven and can work independently based on high level guidance

  • Can communicate effectively to different levels in the organization
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and critical thinking skills with ability of utilizing data analysis and metrics to drive decision making and continuous improvement

COMPENSATION

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $74,000 - $111,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
