Job Overview

TE Connectivity is now hiring a Project Coordinator to join the Engineering Project Management Team for the Marine, Oil & Gas business unit in Katy, TX. This is a full-time permanent position working on-site at our plant in Katy.

The Project Coordinator organizes and leads cross-functional teams to execute Projects on-time and deliver products in conformance with customer requirements. The Project Coordinator plans, monitors and controls mission-critical activities and tasks. The Project Coordinator directly interfaces with customers to define project requirements, resolve issues, and report status on open orders and projects.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Ensure customer purchase orders are processed into internal sales orders and work orders
  • Develops detailed order execution plans and schedules
  • Coordinates with planning personnel to align work order dates with customer delivery dates
  • Tracks and monitors cross-functional activities to ensure on-time completion of critical path schedule activities.
  • Monitors the full order workstream to identify risks and opportunities, flow disruptions, resource constraints, or issues that may impact on-time delivery or product conformity
  • Provides functional support to ensure product acceptance by the customer and customer authorization to ship finished goods
  • Monitors and analyzes information contained in the MRP system to evaluate the status/progress of planning, procurement and production activities
  • Direct and frequent interface with customers in the form of meetings and written communications

What your background should look like:

  • Undergraduate Degree in related field or High School Degree with 3-4 years of relevant experience

o Relevant experience should include working knowledge of material requirements planning, scheduling, production control planning, and/or project management

  • Demonstrated capability to identify and resolve planning or manufacturing issues, determine causal factors, and define corrective and preventative actions
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize daily actions
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • General analytical capabilities including working knowledge of pivot tables and Excel functions
  • Demonstrated ability to present clear, concise, and accurate data in visual and verbal form
  • Ability to quickly grasp intimate knowledge of key business processes, functional handovers, and the relevant transactions of the MRP system

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) software
  • Experience in a manufacturing, direct production environment
  • Experience working directly with customers
