Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Operations Managers are responsible for the day-to-day operations and short/long-term planning for the groups they manage. They manage manufacturing, production control, engineering, inventory control, EH&S, shipping/receiving, etc. focusing on the development of technologies and continuous improvement and translating customer requirements into state-of-the-art manufacturing strategies and processes.

What your background should look like:

Fab Center of Excellence (COE) Sr Manager **REMOTE**

Experienced fab leader to advise & implement best practices across multiple fabs. Set goals & guide local teams on modern semiconductor production, engineering, and systems. Lead team of fab experts to assist local fab management in both daily and strategic objectives. Functions under the Operations Manager responsibility, either directly or indirectly, include manufacturing, process engineering, process integration, planning, warehouse, and supply chain activities; Defines goals, improves technologies, and resolves problems.


  • Using overall fab management expertise, lead, coach & guide the local fabs on best practices in equipment upkeep, production, systems, quality, process engineering, and yield engineering.
  • Ability to frequently switch between hands-on work and guiding others.
  • Direct manager for team of area experts for fab production, operational efficiency, and engineering.
  • Must be willing to travel to US and Europe for extended periods
  • Plan, direct and monitor production activities with the objective of maximizing the use of organizational resources to meet or exceed established targets for Safety, LEAN, COE, Delivery, Cost, Employee Engagement and Talent Development.
  • Drive the creation and deployment of Continuous Improvement initiatives which enable functional areas and the site to meet or exceed its Operating plan.  Take proactive steps to ensure best practices are shared.  Drive standard work for safety, quality, inventory, scrap etc. 
  • Develop action plans and make operational decisions on policies, tactics and resources critical to the site’s operational success thus ensuring successful delivery against targets and strategy.
  • Drive strategic workforce planning and successful talent development strategies aligned to business needs, strategic succession planning outcomes/requirements, and seasonality.
  • Lead local teams on fab process integration BKM
What your background should look like:
  • BS degree in Engineering Manufacturing, Supply Chain or Business required.
  • Minimum 15 years experience working with a fab manufacturing organization with proven success
  • Fab site leadership experience strongly desired.
  • Strong background in Lean Manufacturing
  • Direct experience with fab MES implementation
  • Must have good working knowledge of MRP/ERP planning and execution concepts.
  • Direct experience in Fab yields, process integration, and process development
  • TS16949, ISO 14001 Audit experience
  • Knowledge of Operations Management and contemporary manufacturing/quality methods and systems
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control
  • Knowledge of financial terms and concepts as it applies to manufacturing finance
  • Lean, Six Sigma, TPS, or DMAIC experience is strongly desired.
  • Experience working with multiple customers and suppliers in high volume manufacturing facility
  • Strong business acumen, excellent time management skills to manage multiple projects and demands and can manage a diverse group of employees.
