TE Connectivity's Electrician Teams install, repair and maintain wiring, electric fixtures and control equipment in the facilities they support. They complete work orders and record material utilized on jobs. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.
2nd shift and 11% shift differential
RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
- Troubleshoot and repair all electrical and simple mechanical and instrumental equipment.
- Read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Perform installation and repairs of motors, starters, electrical controls, and electrical equipment.
- Run conduit, pulls wires, and make connections with a minimum of assistance.
- Maintain parts inventory and availability.
- Records daily activities in logbook.
- Must be able to respond to emergency plant calls as needed.
- Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Maintain work area per plant standard for safety, efficiency, and cleanliness.
- Attend safety meetings and abide by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
- All other tasks and/or responsibilities as assigned.
- Operate, install electrical systems and perform functional test of building and/or plant equipment (e.g., machines, motor controls, room remodels), as required
- Determine if system should be shut down or if work must be performed with power source on
- Lock out, tag out, try out equipment and related systems, as required
- Perform primary and secondary test on electrical breakers during routine maintenance
- Replace, update and retro fit breakers, as required
- Perform routine tests on high voltage switches and relays, using hipotential test equipment (Hipot), replace switch or relay, as required
- Monitor current, voltage, amperage, frequency and watts hours at sub-stations using on line computing system
- Check and service electrical systems, using infrared analysis sheets to locate hot spots in service panel, as required
- Service and maintain electrical systems on various types of overhead cranes
- Install and perform routine maintenance on all types of lighting fixtures (e.g., fluorescent, halide, standard) clean and check sockets, replace ballast and bulb, as required. Run high voltage electrical cable from substation to unit station, cut and splice cable, test cable for resistance using a Hipot
- Install, replace and repair fiber optic cable for computers and computing systems, as required
- Bend conduit and install junction boxes, as required
- Pull wire of various gauge and color through conduit using a fish tape, install and connect switches and outlets
- Check work after completion or after each operation; ensure job is per drawing and WAC, NEC codes
What your background should look like:
- High school education or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of experience in the industrial electrical field.
- At least 3 years of experience as an Electrician or apprentice Electrician license (EL01 &/or EL 07) or an apprentice training card
- At least 1 year of experience maintaining industrial equipment
- This position requires an individual when working at heights to utilize fall protection equipment that has weight limitations and must be able to pass fall protection training

- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $92,400– $115,400 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
