Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Operations Managers are responsible for the day-to-day operations and short/long-term planning for the groups they manage. They manage manufacturing, production control, engineering, inventory control, EH&S, shipping/receiving, etc. focusing on the development of technologies and continuous improvement and translating customer requirements into state-of-the-art manufacturing strategies and processes.


The Operations Manager is responsible for developing and executing the overall strategy for the production facility.

TE Medway manufactures Medical components that are assembled in Medical devices by the end user. We are a fast-paced, low volume, high mix manufacturer delivering quality products that save lives.

This role also has site-wide responsibility for Environment, Health, and Safety.

Tasks Summary & Responsibilities

- Provide effective leadership, coaching, and guidance to the Operations team to ensure timely execution of business goals.
- Overall responsibility for performance and P&L.
- Prepare an annual operating plan, and budget and direct all facility expenditures in line with the plan.
- Drive improved levels of employee engagement and performance on site
- Drive key People goals in line with the strategy.
- Provide ECE (excellent customer experience), ensuring all delivery and quality metrics are met.
- Drive Continuous Improvement utilizing lean techniques and TE tools working with eh continuous improvement manager.
- Ensure effective operation of the plant in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Ensure that the plant is maintained in accordance with the Operational and Manufacturing procedures and best practices within the Business Unit.
- Partner with other business functions to achieve business goals and objectives.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES:


The position does have supervisor responsibilities and is responsible for performance management and the hiring of employees within the site.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience required including prior site leadership accountability
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in manufacturing or production environment desired
  • Prior experience in support function that collaborates with Operations such as Finance, Materials, Engineering, Supply Chain, and HR preferred
  • Financial Acumen is preferred
  • 4-Year College Degree preferred with a concentration in Business, Finance, Management/Operations, or Technical discipline.
  • Strong computer skills including the ability to prepare spreadsheets and analyze data and trends
