Job Overview

This position will be a member of the Technical Services team, responsible for providing technical support, design, development, maintenance and repair of electrical, electromechanical & electronic equipment across all production lines, under direction of Manufacturing Engineering. The ideal candidate would be able to apply electrical\electronics knowledge and experience in maintaining production line equipment readiness, identify and make recommendations for equipment upgrades, and support Manufacturing Engineering in the design, development, fabrication and qualification of new electrical/electronic equipment, systems, fixturing and cables.


  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and updating of existing production electrical/electronic equipment, test fixturing and cabling.
  • Support engineering team in the development, fabrication, layout, qualifications, calibration and deployment of new production electrical/electronic equipment and systems.
  • Support engineering team efforts in maintaining accuracy of manufacturing test related documentation.
  • Support production teams with installation, setup, configuration and/or training of test & measurement equipment.
  • Perform fabrication of custom electrical/electronic prototypes, circuits and equipment guided by engineering documentation.
  • Perform engineering evaluation and qualification of new and existing equipment and fixturing.
  • Participation in Engineering team peer reviews of documentation, drawings and PLC/software.
  • Use technical writing skills to create, modify and/or update production and engineering technical documentation of existing and new equipment designs.
  • Assist engineering with performing root-cause-analysis of production test related issues.
  • Provide technical assistance and/or training to production teams on new equipment designs.
  • Optionally support updating of existing and/or development of new equipment PLC programs.

What your background should look like:

  • Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent Military training.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in component level troubleshooting of electronic equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic principles, theories, circuits and testing.
  • Technical writing experience in creating procedures, reports and other technical documentation.
  • Proficiency with test & measurement equipment
  • Experience reading/interpreting electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Strong technical and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision
  • Ability to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment with dynamically changing priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows OS.


  • Experience with electrical/electronic equipment fabrication
  • Electrical and Mechanical CAD experience
  • PLC Programming
  • IPC J-STD-001 Class 2 Soldering Certification
