Job Overview

This individual will be responsible for ensuring the success of key Trade Compliance projects by analyzing, implementing, and supporting applications in accordance with the TEIS development and project management methodologies to support strategic and tactical compliance initiatives. A strong candidate will have a solid background in Export Trade Compliance topics using and supporting automated solutions.

What your background should look like:

Position Duties/Responsibilities
1. Understand and document business requirements to determine the needs of the business around export compliance concerns.
2. Translate business requirements into technical requirements, and work with development teams to implement custom solutions within existing applications/architectures.
3. Interface between business users responsible for Trade Compliance, and third-party vendors which implement the solutions in their commercial solutions.
4. Adherence to TE Connectivity best practices and development/project management methodologies.
5. Support Enterprise Applications in adherence to service level agreements (examples include jurisdiction and classification assessment, denied party screening, product licensing, and trade compliance reporting)
6. Creation of documentation and training materials for support personnel as well as end-users of the applications.

Position Requirements/ Skills
1. Minimum 3 years of experience rolling out, configuring, and supporting Export Trade Compliance applications in an IT capacity.
2. Strong understanding of Jurisdiction and Classification and Assessment concepts is required.
3. Prior experience with SAP S/4 SD Processes is preferred.
4. Experience with commercially available trade compliance software, especially from E2Open, is preferred.
5. Experience with Oracle SQL strongly preferred.
6. Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
7. Excellent oral and written communication.
8. Ability to multi-task, adhering to established project timeframes.
9. Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Education – Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred.
