This position will support the Industrial Commercial Transportation (ICT) business unit within the Transportation Segment.

Job Overview

This role will lead the FP&A and Commercial finance functions and processes for the business unit (BU). The Director will be key business partner to the General Manager, VP of Finance and VP of Sales on developing, achieving, and socializing the business objectives and strategy. This role will have a team of nine globally. The role can be based out of East Coast, USA or Europe.

Key Finance responsibilities include:

  • Helping set the strategic direction of the business and serving as the point person and key strategic partner for the General Manager and all finance and business-related areas of the business unit
  • Driving business performance and value through execution and influencing positive change
  • Provide business insight, financial analysis, forecasting, and business modeling used throughout the BU for decision making
  • Leading business unit planning, analysis, decision support, and continuous improvement processes
  • Overseeing the Commercial Finance Team to achieve: Sales & Market forecast, S&OP and S&OE alignment, transparency and challenging growth and profitability at Customer and improving cash flow through improved AR management
  • Ensure and promote a strong control environment and mitigation of weaknesses identified and actioned
  • Driving the organizational talent agenda through development, engagement and inclusion, retention, and recruitment efforts
  • Proactive ad-hoc analyses and reporting to identify and offer solutions for business challenges and improvements; Fulfill ad-hoc analysis and reporting for the business unit
  • Develop and drive KPI’s for team to drive Finance excellence and TEOA-F (continuous improvement) mindset
  • Drive Finance Digitalization and maturity within the function and S4/Hana readiness
  • Proactive support and analysis addressing business challenges/improvements, M&A, integration and restructuring initiatives and other strategic needs of business/segment


Ten years+ international/global business experience in a multinational public manufacturing company
Finance experience as well in Operations/Plant, FP&A and Controlling
Proven ability to see need in Business and translate proactively to recommendations, actions and/or strategy


  • Understanding of finance, technical accounting, and controlling matters and drivers as it relates to external market and manufacturing environment
  • Business acumen and understanding of business drivers, strategy, markets, and products; Has knowledge at a detailed level, but is also able to step back and see the big picture
  • Financial analysis skills with intellectual curiosity
  • Good at driving change management
  • Track record of talent development and engagement
  • Understanding of internal business processes and operations, including systems (Processes: S&OP (Sales & Operational Planning), PAC (New Product Approval Process); Systems: SAP, S4/Hana, Hyperion, BPC, TED2.0, Tableau, Power BI and other analytics tools)

Bachelor’s in Finance or Accounting and MBA preferred.

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $149,800 – $224,800 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
