Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Procurement Teams are responsible for developing and implementing multi-year strategies for commodities, suppliers, and services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price, and service. They generate forecasts and perform analysis to identify trends, opportunities, threats, and needed course correction in purchasing, strategic sourcing, and other areas of business. They are also responsible for creating "what if" scenarios to guide future business planning decisions.


The Sustainability Senior Manager within Global Procurement will lead TE’s efforts related to Supplier Sustainability. This role will report directly to the Senior Director, Global Indirect Procurement.

Sustainability:
TE Connectivity has identified 9 key goals related to sustainability that must be achieved by 2030. Several of these goals relate to Supply Chain activities such as embedding sustainability within our product creation and partnering with TE business units, facilities, logistics, materials, and suppliers to strengthen the sustainability of our supply chain. This role will lead a cross-BU Procurement Sustainability team to align across the company on Supplier sustainability goals. The responsibilities are not limited to but will include: (1) creating an actionable sustainability charter within the Global Supply Chain (2) Developing tracking parameters and processes for both collecting and measuring supplier progress in key sustainability KPIs (3) Working with suppliers directly on sustainability initiatives (4) Have the professional acumen to define Scope 3 expectations and deliverables (5) evaluate and recommend TE’s readiness for increased public accountability (i.e. adoption of Science Based Targets)

What your background should look like:

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for working with multiple global stakeholders (Procurement, Human Resources, Operations, Finance, Legal, etc.) to reach goals related to Sustainability.
  • Updates such as presentations with analytics showing progress, gaps, and potential opportunities.
  • Reaching 25% reduction in Scope 3 Greenhouse Gas reduction by 2030
  • At times, persuade stakeholders to move forward on these key initiatives despite potential pushback.
  • Track success against stated goals and create improvement plans when necessary.
  • Maintain control of project schedules. Set and manage client expectations.
  • Create and execute project work.
  • Enlist non-reporting team members within Procurement and other functions to help support these key projects and participate in external discussions where needed.
  • Work with marketing to create internal Sustainability branding, frequent updates, and visibility.
  • Maintaining the accuracy of our Sustainability data for reporting – will require working with areas such as Procurement Business Processes, Legal, and TEIS.

Qualifications

  • BS or MS degree in Business, Procurement, Finance, or equivalent experience is preferred. Strong operational management, project management, presentation, consulting, technology, and process improvement skills.
  • Executive-level communication with customer-facing experience and confidence in presenting complex scenarios and solutions.
  • Relationship building and ongoing relationship management with key stakeholders, suppliers, and team members are a must.
  • Ability to speak persuasively in front of a large audience which may include management to the executive level.
  • Self-motivated individual with a positive attitude, able to work well with international teams and individuals.
  • Time zone flexibility and the ability to travel up to 25%
  • Strong analytical skills.

COMPENSATION

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $122,700.00 – $175,000.00 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
