Job Overview

This leader is responsible for developing, driving, and coordinating the Manufacturing Strategy for Industrial & Medical Subvertical Sensors. This position reports directly into the GM for the IMS Subvertical, with dotted line reporting to the VP of Sensors (BU) Operations. In this matrixed team, this role will play a critical role to bring tight alignment with BU level Operations and Subvertical strategy and execution. The ideal candidate will have the ability to bring followership to execute a strategy, collaborate cross functionally, and navigate the broader TE structure.


  • Develop, update, modify the Sensors IMS Strategic Capacity Roadmap
  • Collaborate cross functionally to help coordinate Supply Chain for Optimal Cost Structure
  • Drive cost roadmaps to ensure product competitiveness
  • Help Coordinate/Drive Capex Investments for respective subvertical
  • Drive/Coordinate NPI Execution and Roadmaps
  • Drive Yield/Quality improvement programs for key products
  • Ensure Manufacturing Roadmap/Strategy meets Business Unit needs for cost and cycle time competitiveness
  • Shepard key customer escalations to resolution
  • Understand the vertical business needs and communicate them to the manufacturing operations
  • Understand the Manufacturing Operations and communicate the issues/plans etc to the vertical business
  • Work with operations to develop/maintain the product/process/core expertise “COE’s” roadmaps and plans
  • Ability to acknowledge the process and behavior that got us here, with the keen eye for innovation to challenge us take the business even further
  • Build/drive/align key Product scrap/quality improvement projects

What Your Background Should Look Like

  • B.S. degree; Engineering discipline preferred
  • 10+ years experience in demonstrated process improvement success
  • 10+ years experience in utilizing OpEx, SixSigma and Lean tools/methodologies
  • 10+ years of Global management experience – technology industry required, semiconductor industry preferred
  • Strong analytical, strategic and tactical skills
  • Strong team formation and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate all levels of the organization Comfortable to work in a fast-paced, international matrix organization

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $155,200 – $209,500 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
