Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Plating Teams operate assigned automated plating machinery, ensure component flow, troubleshoot and correct machinery issues to ensure quality and productivity. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities

Properly operate and maintain the waste treatment system to ensure compliance with discharge regulations. Due to the critical nature of the waste treatment operation, in emergency situations, it may be necessary for the operators to work extended schedules, outside the normal shift hours.

Shift and Schedule

Opening is available on our 3rd shift Sunday-Thursday from 10:45pm-7:15am.

Job Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to operate waste water treatment equipment OR three (3) years recent experience with electroplating plating operations.

  • Mechanical ability required for basic pump and pH meter maintenance activities.

  • Thorough, working knowledge of chemical safety.

  • Familiarity with chemical analytical techniques.

  • Ability to work independently and anticipate and resolve problems in a proactive and reactive manner.

  • Ability to follow documented work instructions.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and coordinate activities with other functions and shifts.

  • Ability to document and maintain detailed records of process parameters for regulatory compliance.

Physical Qualifications

  • Must be able to lift/push/pull and carry a minimum weight of 50 lbs.

  • Frequently required to extend arms and hands between knees & shoulders; frequent holding and grasping with hands.

  • Frequent standing and walking is required in this job.
