Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Finance Teams are responsible for economic research, analysis of profit-and-loss income statements and preparation of reports on findings to make recommendations to management. They generate forecasts and analyze trends in sales, finance and other areas of business. The Finance Teams also create financial models of "what if" scenarios to help future business planning decisions.

The Financial Business Process Sr Analyst will work on a broad range of assignments that will provide a thorough understanding of the TE business model, with a focus on Intercompany and Inventory / Costing Business Processes as part of the Global Controlling Processes Team. Activities include SAP implementations, acquisition and divestiture activities, Tax and Treasury initiatives, Trade Compliance activities, Intercompany analytics, as well as special projects as required. This position will work closely with professionals at various levels within the organization, including team members from Finance, Business Development, Tax, Treasury, Mergers and Acquisitions, Business Unit Leadership, Trade Compliance, and Information Technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare analyses for Executive Management, Corporate Functions, and Business Units
  • Prepare US and Maquiladora trade compliance reconciliations
  • Provide Trade Compliance support, including special project assistance and information requests when necessary
  • Participate in acquisition and divestiture activity including analysis and TSA support
  • Participate in SAP implementation activity
  • Prepare monthly Intercompany consolidations analyses and quarterly tax analyses
  • Maintain TPEX application and Intercompany Profit Reporting Universe within TED 2.0
  • Maintain ICAT application for fixed asset transfers
  • Provide analytics using the Intercompany Profit Reporting Universe
  • Participate in SAP S4/HANA implementation design and analysis activities
  • Research questions/problems and coordinate corrective actions, if necessary
  • Provide global business process training, presentations, and support, as needed
  • Provide Tax and Transfer Pricing support, as necessary
  • Support the Inventory / Costing team on process improvement initiatives and other special projects
  • Cross-train with the Inventory / Costing team on key business processes
  • Support other financial business processes where necessary

What your background should look like:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance; MBA and or CPA is a plus
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in a finance position. At least 3 years’ experience in the following areas is preferred: Transfer pricing, trade compliance, Intercompany financial planning & analysis, inventory / costing, and accounting / reconciliation processes at a global matrixed organization
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite with an emphasis on advanced Excel skills
  • Desired system experience: Knowledge of loading and retrieving data processes in HFM, SmartView; Proficiency in TED 2.0; Experience with SAP (especially SD and FI modules)
  • Exceptional presentation skills; Presents concise and actionable recommendations to any level of the organization
  • Strong analytical skills; Ability to comprehend a situation by breaking it down into its components and identifying key and/or underlying complex issues
