Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Maintenance Teams perform repairs and preventive maintenance to ensure longer lifespan of machines and facilities. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

First shift 8am-4pm- rotation shift once a month on evening shift 4pm-12pm

Job Purpose: Maintain production and quality requirements by ensuring safe and reliable operation of mechanical assets.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Ensure operation of mechanical assets by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; performing equipment troubleshooting as needed.
  • InstaII, maintain or repair piping systems for air, gas, water, steam, etc., as well as accessory equipment such as pumps, valves, etc.
  • Perform complicated tasks of dismantling, moving, assembling, and installing plant assets, including maintenance, repair and rebuilding of plant assets.
  • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical equipment during operation.
  • Remove failed components by dismantling equipment, using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools.
  • Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
  • Control downtime by training production employees on routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
  • Fabricate repair parts using machine shop equipment.
  • Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies.
  • Conserve maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Prepare mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information collected during failure analysis.
  • Make recommendations to supervision on matters of safety, preventative maintenance and improved maintenance techniques.
  • Acts independently; determines methods and procedures to complete work assignments.
  • Interaction involves planning and preparation of communications and requires skill, tact, persuasion and/or negotiation to accomplish objectives.
  • Acts as a facilitator and team leader; Leads and directs the work of others.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical school is a plus.

  • Technical Understanding.

  • Demonstrates extensive knowledge and wide understanding of all aspects of the job and situations encountered.
