Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Business Development Teams identify, develop, and implement near-term and long-term business development strategies relating to the development of new products, technologies and services. They identify markets and determine the feasibility of business and product development. Our Teams perform economic analyses on new or improved product opportunities, develop business models and determine market trends to substantiate long-term prospects.

What your background should look like:

  • Develop new applications and constructively challenge existing ones, for the organization to refine its “where to play” and “how to win” choices to drive growth, and sustain competitive advantage
  • Own strategy development for opportunities that break new ground and expand addressable market.
  • Expand GTM via ecosystem partners on focus applications (as required).
  • Enhance application knowledge of TE’s sales, system architects, product management, and engineering team members through Voice of Customer initiatives and market research. Disseminate insights to stakeholders via reusable training content
  • Drive pipeline growth in focus applications with sales and marketing teams through effective value proposition development and communication
  • Maximize opportunity pipeline conversion by participating in pipeline reviews, providing input into TE’s major project proposals and quotes to enhance win rates, and supporting sales and product management team members with customer presentations for major opportunities
  • Generate ideas for enhancing TE’s value proposition in the target market segments through Product Portfolio expansion. Partner with Product Management and Engineering teams on portfolio expansion through New Product Introduction, Strategic Partnerships, or Acquisitions
  • Partner with marketing communications team to develop and execute ideas that position TE as a leader and trusted advisor to customers, through content such as whitepapers, webinars, tradeshows, and other technical marketing content
  • Generate market knowledge and insights, including applications, products, competitors, market trends, technology roadmaps and regulations. Keep key stakeholders, including executive management, updated on these trends on an ongoing basis. Use the insights to develop actionable growth and market share expansion plans
  • Co-own (with product management) evaluation of strategic partnerships / M&A opportunities
  • Drive Sales and PM growth plans for focus applications

Key Objectives/ Measurements:

  • Strategy to win the target market segments
  • Joint ownership of Revenue pipeline and conversion
  • Drive new applications within existing customers and new customer engagement in focus applications
  • Develop and support sales with target customer lists in focus applications
  • Propose / Support 3-4 M&A or JV partner opportunities
  • Ecosystem Strategy, engagement and partners solutions (Demo, E2E, etc)
