Job Overview

TE Connectivity's NPD Teams are responsible for product development and transfer to production for new parts. They perform all phases of development from prototyping to validation prior to transfer of parts to volume production. The Engineer I / job coordinator will be helping the NPD group to organize product builds.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare all aspects of documentation regarding to NPD job builds
  • Interact with development engineers, quality engineers, technicians, and will be involved in all aspects of tasks needed to get the parts assembled and shipped
  • Work closely with production planners to schedule the NPD jobs
  • Primary liaison between vendors and purchasing regarding raw materials for NPD builds
  • Communicate lead times to the Sales Coordinators and customers
  • Review and address machine capacity and also work with Operations to address people capacity
  • Monitor build rates and make suggestions for improvements
  • Help Engineers develop process instructions or procedures and also quality inspection instructions
  • Preparing reports and results from engineering studies and tests

What your background should look like:

  • Previous experience in medical production/materials planning/MRP preferred
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Strong computer skills including Excel, and Microsoft Windows programs
  • Experience with document control software systems, Smartsolve preferred
  • Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail
  • SAP or similar ERP system experience preferred
  • Organization and task management experience
  • Interest in collaborating with quality, manufacturing, operations, suppliers, and directly with customers
  • Experience with customer facing roles
  • Experience with Medical Device component manufacturing and documentation requirements

COMPENSATION

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $63,400 - 95,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
