Job Overview:
As a Field Application Engineering Intern on our Appliances Sales team, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Visit Appliances OEM and Tier 1 Suppliers to understand engineering requirements for our interconnect product (Terminals & Connectors).
- Visit Appliances Business Unit manufacturing and engineering facilities to understand product development cycles, product teardown workshops, and new product development/qualifications.
- Understand the TE Sales process including account payable/receivables, customer requirement management systems (CRM) utilizing SalesForce.com, revenue forecasting and commercial negotiations with direct customers.
- Visit with Appliances primary distribution partners and understand broadline and high service distribution sales models.
Responsibilities:
- Support Field Engineers and Account Managers on end customer sales calls.
- Support Field Engineers and Application Engineers with product tear downs, TE content and competitive product analysis.
- Support Customer Care and Accounts Receivables with Past Due payment analysis and inventory liability claims.
- Support Distribution Sales team with distributor branch visits and opportunity reviews.
What your background should look like:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited University or College for the duration of the Internship
- Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program, Mechanical Engineering (Electrical Engineering as an alternative)
- Minimum GPA requirement of 3.0
