Job Overview:

  • As an Automation/Assembly Engineering Intern on our Manufacturing and Process Development Engineering team, you’ll have the opportunity to:
  • Work with a diverse core team of product, quality, industrial and manufacturing engineers to develop new products within the Appliance Business Unit of TE Connectivity
  • Collaborate with global cultures in a project manager led team environment

Responsibilities:

  • Support the fabrication of prototype components utilizing latest 3D printing technologies on our campus
  • Develop assembly processes, both manual and fully automated; to support production ramp and assembly of new products within the Appliance Business Unit
  • Conduct detailed print reviews of new product designs and provide design for manufacturability product design recommendations to the product development team to facilitate assembly
  • Optimize assembly machine designs utilizing your BSME skill set and working knowledge of 3D CAD design tools and related software such as ANSYS
  • Specify new assembly equipment and work with global suppliers to design, build and condition new assembly machines. Qualify for launch onsite at our local Appliance’s factory

What your background should look like:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited University or College for the duration of the Internship
  • Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program, Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering preferred
  • Minimum GPA requirement of 3.0

COMPENSATION

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $18 – 27 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
