Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:
The Aerospace, Defense & Marine (AD&M) Business Unit is currently seeking a Principal Industrial Engineer as a part of the Business Transformation Office (BTO). AD&M's Business Transformation team provides strategic partnership to the business unit by executing cross-functional transformational initiatives aimed at driving business results, standardizing critical business processes, integrating operating systems, and driving organizational continuous improvement. The BTO Principal Industrial Engineer is responsible for providing leadership and program management with expertise in Mapping and Optimizing Process Flow, Lean Systems and Lean Manufacturing, Optimizing Process Layouts, Current State Cost Assessments, Future State Cost Modeling, Business Case Development, ROI Assessments, BOM Management, SAP/ERP, Data mining and Analytics, Data Integrity, and Transactional Process Flow. The successful candidate will work with several stakeholders across TE to provide the necessary insights and recommendations to support successful business transformations.

About the Role:
The incumbent will:

  • Provide Industrial Engineering Expertise across several critical strategic transformation programs to ensure smooth and successful execution.
  • Will focus energy and bandwidth on long term strategic projects, enabling tactical resources to focus on customer satisfaction (delivery and cost).
  • Map End to End Network Flow among in Scope Product and Manufacturing Plants.
  • Support in the cost and lead time assessments of current state and model future state programs based on the input of cross-functional core team members.
  • Will analyze and present options or scenarios for process flow and sourcing associated with Strategic Projects.
  • Will bridge technical inputs with financial outputs to support the development of robust business cases around transformation projects.
  • Will support Data Integrity and Accuracy within ADM ERP systems to ensure successful planning of processes within scope of a change.
  • Will ensure standard work is in place for BOM setup, Data Migration, and Hold processes for protecting customers.
  • Will provide subject matter expertise and mentoring across the organization to grow and further develop Industrial Engineering Talent.
  • Ensure that activities follow organizational policies, safety, quality and compliance requirements as well as external regulatory and contractual requirements.
  • Provide reports and updates to senior management or other stakeholders.

What your background should look like:

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, or similar technical field. Data Science/Analyst background or relevant industrial experience also to be considered.
  • 10+ years technical experience working in a manufacturing/industrial setting.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERP) – SAP experience preferred.
  • Experience in Aerospace and/or military industries and familiarity with basic compliance standards of each.
  • Strong Project Management Skills & Business Acumen
  • Ability to energize and motivate people and to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. Strong sense of urgency and accountability. Ability to manage upwards as well as downwards.
  • Strong analytic, strategic, tactical and problem-solving skills. Six Sigma/Lean Training a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced matrix structured work environment.
  • This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). COMPENSATION

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $129,040 - $193,560 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
