The Opportunity
Afterpay is looking for a product leader to grow our newly formed Ads business. You will drive product vision and execution of a number of new ads products that we are bringing to market. You will have significant ownership and responsibility in shaping Afterpay’s overall monetization strategy. You have the opportunity to drive the product vision, development, and go-to-market of brand new ad products from inception to launch.

This role will work hand in hand with Sales, Growth Marketing and Analytics, and requires someone who thrives in fast paced environments and relishes in ambiguity. They must also excel as a leader of cross-functional teams and have experience managing and influencing a diverse set of stakeholders. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of advertisers and their needs and a strong track record of growing new product adoption.

  • You'll drive product definition, strategy, and long term vision for which ad products we build and how we scale them.
  • Identify the biggest problems to solve. Drive new feature development from start to finish.
  • Build, execute and launch new ad solutions to market to accelerate growth for brands and merchants on the platform.
  • You will identify key vertical needs and develop strategies that unlock those opportunities.
  • Implement an ad technology buy/build strategy to accelerate time to market.
  • Establish, monitor, and measure success metrics after launch. Consistently integrate behavior data and customer feedback into key product decisions.
  • Partner with Product Marketing and Sales teams to develop go-to-market strategy for new ad products and features
  • Communicate product plans, benefits and results to all audiences - within teams, company, to users, press etc.
  • Maintain regular communication with stakeholders to ensure visibility across the organization.
  • Establish success metrics, be outcome driven, test and measure everything, take ownership of the results, track critical metrics and use them to drive decision-making about what's next.

Who are you? (Qualifications)

  • 5+ years experience in product management for ad technology and/or media products.
  • 5+ years crafting mobile and web product experiences/examples through mobile wire frames and mock ups - concept through launch.
  • Have successfully developed and launched advertising related products.
  • Experience leading design, feature breakdown and projects/products from inception to launch.
  • Passionate problem solver who is able to craft and build the best solutions.
  • Significant experience in running product experiments and leveraging product analytics.
  • Do you see the big picture and have an eye for detail? Possessing the ability to showcase your ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with customers, peers, colleagues, and executives. You can succinctly articulate goals, progress, and priorities in written, verbal, and presentation formats.
