Job Overview

As an R&D Product Development Engineer Intern on our New Product Introduction team, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Understand customer requirements and translate them into cost-effective designs
  • Mock up concepts and prototypes of new products and assemblies
  • Work across functions to ensure designs are completed on time, on cost, and to TE and customer expectations
  • Work with Manufacturing Development Engineers to understand the manufacturing processes involved and assure manufacturability of designs
  • Prepare product specifications, testing and qualification documents
  • Prepare and submit test samples to reliability test labs
  • Partner with sales and marketing to prepare new product presentations and trainings

What your background should look like:

  • Must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree Program, preferably Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited University or College for the duration of the Internship
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • CAD experience is preferred, not required

This position is located in our Winston-Salem, NC office.
