The Opportunity
As Afterpay’s Accounts Payable Specialist, you’ll …

We are much more than our job descriptions, but here’s where you will begin….
-Manage all payable incoming mail delivered via email and mail; Respond to supplier and employee inquiries
-Process supplier invoices for both the US and Canada entities, by obtaining appropriate documentation and approval.
-Process supplier payments and ensure global and regional suppliers are paid in accordance with credit terms
-Ensure the Vendor Master Data is accurate. Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
-Manage vendor profiles and set up new suppliers in the accounting system; obtain W-9/W-8BEN for all new domestic and foreign vendors
-Assist the broader finance team in creating efficiencies and contribute to further streamlining a Global Accounts Payable Function
-Train and work closely with PO Champions on newly implemented procurement policy
-Assist in preparing annual filing of FORM 1099 for suppliers and processing periodic tax payments
-Assist in developing appropriate policies and controls for entire payables process
-Process and review employee expense reimbursements in accordance with reimbursement policy

-2+ years of Accounts Payable experience
-Demonstrated experience within an Accounts Payable function
-Excellent written and verbal communication
-Extensive experience working in a startup environment, preferably in the finance or technology sectors
-Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships, with people at all levels and from different departments
-Thrive under pressure and comfortable in an ever-changing environment
-Openness and ability to get your hands dirty and be in the detail but also think of the bigger picture impacts
-Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics and Expensify a plus
