Our engineering team are looking for an experienced Requirements Engineer to join one of our Rolling Stock projects! The role can be based in the Queen St office or Dandenong Site.
As the Requirements Engineering you will be primarily responsible for the collection, analysis, and validation of requirements with all the communications and negotiations with internal and external stakeholders. Requirements management is a subset of the Systems Engineering Process and integral part of Systems Assurance delivery which is a critical part to the overall project. You will coordinate and deliver the technical requirements activities needed for project deliver the full systems engineering and systems assurance V-cycle phases in accordance with the Alstom requirements management process.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for undertaking requirement management tasks in support of developing the whole train design, support and guide project design team members
- Responsible for ensuring all requirements are consolidated in a project set of technical requirements, requirements are allocated to one or several Requirement Break Down (RBS) scopes, division and allocation is elaborated by adequate specialists (e.g. reliability or noise targets), satisfaction evidence are identified
- Check overall consistency and correct link, alignment between design documents or design activities
- Develop a risk management plan based on the potential performance gaps between expected final performance and contractual or legal obligations
- Elaborate regular reporting on the activity: Change (from an existing product) and Risk heat maps, requirements processing / management status. Produce KPIs and reports
- Ensure correct tool set-up, define Requirement Breakdown Structure for the project, and identify stakeholders.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent is a must
- Proven experience in a technical function with a similar scope, preferably with strong exposure to product development and delivery
- Tangible experience of delivering in multi - disciplinary teams in matrix organization
- Experienced DOORS User, preferably with experience of Database Administrator tasks and DXL programming
- Good experience with requirements development from elicitation to concept, to specification.
