Flexible working empowers people to work where, when and how they choose. We’re encouraged to explore arrangements that best support our performance at work and balance the changing demands of life. We offer formal and informal flexible working arrangements which may include changes to location, schedule or hours. Working remotely, flexible hours, part-time hours and job sharing arrangements are all ways we practice flexible working at Zurich.
We aspire to create a dynamic workspace where people can thrive and have recently commenced work on the most significant building project Zurich Australia has undertaken in a generation. From late 2020, our new Australian headquarters will provide a purpose-built work environment tailored to the needs of our people and our customers. We also have teams in Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Canberra, Tasmania and Auckland.
Our employee benefits cover a range of financial, lifestyle, health and wellbeing programs to support people to be their best in every aspect of their life. Other benefits include study assistance, volunteer leave and parental leave.
- We are one team and value the diversity and potential of every individual
- We embrace new ideas to exceed customers' expectations
- We deliver on our promises and stand up for what is right
Z Zurich Foundation
The Z Zurich Foundation is Zurich’s global corporate social responsibility program focused on the pillars of climate resilience, wellbeing and inclusion.
In Australia, the Foundation is focused on making a positive impact on local communities, offering our employees community engagement opportunities and nurturing long-term community programs. Our main community partners are Tackle Your Feelings – a mental health training program which supports the wellbeing of AFL players and their families, Raise Foundation – a youth mentoring service and Beyond Empathy – an Indigenous youth arts organisation. Throughout the year we have the opportunity to be involved in these partnerships, for example, volunteering as a Raise mentor.
Our employees are also encouraged to invest in the causes that matter to them through volunteer leave, annual volunteering initiatives, fundraising and workplace giving which are all supported by the Foundation.
MindFIT is a multi-faceted initiative encouraging our employees to better manage their mental health and support their colleagues’ wellbeing. The program stimulates a supportive culture and helps our employees reach their full potential.
Employee resource groups
Our employee resource groups are working to create a more inclusive workplace – one that rewards merit and accomplishment above all else.
PrideZ supports all LGBTIQ employees to feel safe to be themselves at work. PrideZ raises awareness of important LGBTIQ issues and provides education for all employees.
Women’s Innovation Network (WIN) is a global network of Zurich employees dedicated to creating equal opportunities for women and men across all levels and regions of our organisation.
Our MindFIT Champions promote the mental and physical wellbeing elements of Program MindFIT at a grassroots level. MindFIT Champions advocate for the MindFIT program, lead employee-focused wellbeing events and provide our people with support, guidance and encouragement – fostering an environment where we can openly talk about mental health and wellness at work.
