About the role

The role of Lead Product Manager will hire, lead, develop and coordinate a team of Product Managers and play a key role in ensuring the success of our product portfolio. As part of our portfolio expansion strategy we are investing in expanding into adjacent products and markets, and collaborating with other Business Units in the Group to offer more strategic customer solutions. You should be comfortable with the complexity and ambiguity that goes alongside exploring and launching new products.
The role will be tasked with developing and leading process improvements to encourage a discovery (early stage development) mindset focused on customer value and build/measure/learn type approaches.

As well as leading a team of Product Managers, this role will work closely with other key functions such as Marketing, UX, Engineering and stakeholders to build and oversee a successful set of cross functional teams. The Lead Product Manager will be managing the balance of their own individual contributions and supporting their team in delivery. As a senior Product Leader in this Business Unit , this position will be responsible for the success of our existing and future products, by gaining an in-depth knowledge of the industry, customers, and competitors, and then turning that knowledge into creative, full application lifecycle strategies.

What you'll be doing

Leadership

  • Build, lead and nurture a growing team of high performing Product Managers who deliver undeniable business impact and breed a high standard of strategic, creative and executional excellence through coaching and development
  • Assist with priority setting for the products
  • Deliver updates and report on success to key stakeholders
  • Orchestrate complex initiatives and tasks, ensuring members of the team have a clearly defined path to success
  • Orchestrate and coordinate cross-departmental product discussions
  • Collaborate with other product leaders across The Adaptavist Group to share knowledge and product management practice and process
  • Collaborate and network across other business units and customers in the Adaptavist Group to source and share ideas, inspiration and problems to feed in to product innovation

    • People Management

  • Mentoring, coaching and developing a team of Product Managers, varying from Associate to Senior
  • Work with direct reports to set objectives and to create and execute development plans
  • Hiring and onboarding new team members
  • Facilitate and enable collaboration and communication including conflict resolution
  • Align the team with product and business priorities

    • Product Management

  • Setting goals (on a product level), measuring and iterating on the output
  • Deep understanding of the customer through a range of inputs - such as customer interviews and analytics
  • Driving strategic product decisions via evaluation of market trends, user feedback, and analysis of product performance
  • Defining the vision for apps in the portfolio

  • Driven to set and accomplish complex goals. Experience in taking an idea, making a plan, and executing
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, enabling you to work across a range of functions, teams and seniority
  • Experience in defining measures of success in a product, and interpreting complex data
