What you'll be doing

  • As a WordPress Developer, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of developers, designers, and project managers, helping with all aspects of the web development life-cycle through planning, design, build and ongoing support.
  • You will be involved in the development and creation of web-based solutions for our customers.
  • Working within a team of 10 developers, 4 project managers and 7 designers you will be heavily involved with working with the wider Brew team on delivering leading technical solutions.
  • As a passionate developer, you will keep up to date with industry best practices and techniques through a range of mentoring, courses and online training that Brew has access to, including Udemy Online Learning.
  • What we're looking for

  • Experience building, theming and deploying multiple WordPress projects that have been deployed to a Production environment.
  • Self-motivated and passionate about solving problems within WordPress.
  • An excellent team player who enjoys learning new skills.
  • Experience in WordPress.
  • Experience in installing, managing and building plugins.
  • Experience in theming and templating.
  • A few nice to haves

  • Experience writing Object-Oriented PHP and using Composer
  • Experience of templating languages and frameworks, and website styling approaches and techniques
  • Experience of writing semantic HTML, following accessibility, performance and SEO best practices
  • Experience in cross browser and device testing, following techniques used for responsive design
  • Experience provisioning, maintaining, monitoring and optimising servers and serverless infrastructure
  • Experience with LAMP or LEMP stacks
  • Experience with CI/CD
  • Implementation of security best practices
