About The Role

At AO, we’re all about making things simple, brilliant and personal for our customers and our people. Our people are our superpower, and we’re unstoppable when we’re together! We want your ideas to flow, and what better way to make that happen than being based onsite at our Bolton office 5 days a week, where our culture fuels creativity, collaboration and growth. If a £1 bet in the pub between two friends can become the UKs most trusted electrical retailer, imagine what else can be achieved when we’re together.

We’re hiring a Workplace Coordinator to create a great experience for every employee, visitor and contractor who walks through our doors. You'll support the delivery of workplace services including reception, catering and the spa, ensuring our workplace sites are welcoming, safe and running smoothly. You'll work closely with the Senior Facilities Manager to coordinate day-to-day operations, drive service improvements and support key projects while remaining hands-on and providing daily reception cover. This role sits at the heart of the workplace experience team and acts as a key link between AOers, suppliers and operational teams. You'll be visible across the business, helping to solve problems, improve services and ensure our workplace supports employees to do their best work.

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing

• Day-to-day delivery of reception and front-of-house services; proactively identifies opportunities to improve processes, standards and ways of working.
• Maintain reception cover throughout the day as required, flexing between front-of-house and broader team responsibilities.
• Support the ops management of catering, spa, cleaning, workplace wellbeing and site services.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and monitor service standards.
• Coordinate visitor management, hospitality and workplace events.
• Assist with audits, compliance activities and service reviews.
• Monitor service performance and escalate issues where needed.
• Regularly review the workplace environment to identify and implement improvements to layout, utilisation and operational effectiveness.
• Flexible approach to travel, with the ability to visit and support multiple sites as required.

A Few Things About You

• Visa sponsorship is not available for this role; to be considered, you'll need to have an unrestricted and ongoing right to work in the UK, both now and in the future. We’re looking for experience in:
• Reception, facilities, hospitality or workplace services with great organizational skills.
• Experience coordinating suppliers, contractors or service providers with excellent communication, relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive approach to solving problems, making improvements and managing multiple priorities.

A Bit About Us

We’re big on appliances and electricals, REALLY big. Washing machines, fridge freezers and TVs? They’re our bread and butter. Mobiles, Airwraps and Ring doorbells? Yep, those too. If it plugs in, powers up or makes life easier, AO probably has it.

But we’re more than that… For over 25 years, trust has been at the heart of everything we do, helping us become the UK’s most trusted electrical retailer. Our customers rate us 4.9 on Trustpilot from over ONE MILLION reviews and more 5-star ratings than any other UK electrical retailer, because they know they can rely on us and it’s the exact same for our AOers too.

We truly believe it’s more than just a job, we genuinely care about each other and our impact on making our customers lives easier, by helping them brilliantly. Everyone here knows how their role makes a difference. Our people are our superpower, so, when it comes to finding new AOers, we know it’s about more than just a CV, it’s about what makes you, YOU.
