About The Role

Ready to make learning at AO practical, fun and genuinely useful? As our Digital Learning Specialist, you’ll help AOers build skills, confidence and know-how to do their best work. You’ll turn tricky topics into simple, accessible digital learning and performance support that helps people solve problems, learn new things and keep getting better. You’ll work with experts, stakeholders and colleagues across AO to create learning experiences that drive adoption, capability and performance. There’s also the chance to step up and support the Learning Lead, keeping projects moving and representing the team when needed.

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing

You’ll lead digital learning initiatives, design and develop content using tools like Articulate 360, and make sure everything meets AO’s quality, accessibility and brand standards. You’ll partner with subject matter experts to understand what AOers need, then create practical solutions that are easy to find and use. You’ll use feedback and performance data to keep improving the experience, maintain and update content, and champion best practice in digital learning. When required, you’ll coordinate learning activity and projects, keeping stakeholders informed and delivery on track.

A Few Things About You

  • Experience designing and developing digital learning solutions using authoring tools such as Articulate 360 or similar platforms
  • Ability to turn complex information into clear, practical and user-friendly learning experiences
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience working collaboratively across different business areas
  • Experience evaluating learning using feedback, insight and data to drive continuous improvement
  • Knowledge of learning design principles, accessibility standards and digital learning best practice
  • Strong organisation and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple pieces of work simultaneously
  • Curious and proactive approach, with an interest in new technology, digital learning trends and performance-focused learning solutions

A Bit About Us

We’re big on appliances and electricals, REALLY big. Washing machines, fridge freezers and TVs? They’re our bread and butter. Mobiles, Airwraps and Ring doorbells? Yep, those too. If it plugs in, powers up or makes life easier, AO probably has it. But we’re more than that… For over 25 years, trust has been at the heart of everything we do, helping us become the UK’s most trusted electrical retailer. Our customers rate us 4.9 on Trustpilot from nearly ONE MILLION reviews and more 5-star ratings than any other UK electrical retailer, because they know they can rely on us and it’s the exact same for our AOers too. We truly believe it’s more than just a job, we genuinely care about each other and our impact on making our customers lives easier, by helping them brilliantly. Everyone here knows how their role makes a difference. Our people are our superpower, so, when it comes to finding new AOers, we know it’s about more than just a CV, it’s about what makes you, YOU.
