To help us make the most of these opportunities, Avanade is looking for an experienced Alliances and Partner Marketing Manager to support our efforts with the Alliances and partner ecosystem.This role, within the Global Alliances and Partner Marketing team, will make an impact on a unique alliance among the three companies of Accenture, Microsoft and Avanade and across our Top Tier of global partners.Our Alliance and Partner marketing manager will align with our other core functions to help land unified, and integrated programs and campaigns as a means to help clients understand the impact of working with Avanade and our partner ecosystem.If you feel this is a great fit for your path, we’d love to talk.

Position purpose:

As the Alliances and Partner Marketing Manager, you will own the Global marketing events plan for our alliances with Accenture/AMBG and Microsoft and for those of our strategic partners. Specifically, the collaboration and optimization that intersects with Accenture, Microsoft and our Tier 1 Partner Marketing leads and across our areas and regions to ensure alignment and coordination of joint partner event presence and programs into our relevant global campaigns and workflows. In addition, you will help us identify and tell great joint client stories, feed and help evolve our communications plans to and through our partners and develop programs that elevate and bring to life the unique value of our Alliances and Tier 1 partners in market.

This role reports to the Alliances and Partners Senior Director.We are looking for an Alliances and Partner Marketing Manager to help us build and land the integrated marketing approach that aligns with our Alliances and partner marketing goals across the business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Create the Alliances and strategic partner events plan that amplifies the unique value of Avanade with our unique partner ecosystem marketplace.Strike a balance between Avanade, our Alliances and partners market aspirations, unique competitive advantages, business and revenue ambitions to drive partner influenced revenues at a global level through an events and evidence lens.
  • Align and work with Alliances and partner teams, Solutions, Industry, Communications, wider Events COE team and others to align and build and help execute our overall individual event plans including pre-event build-up, full end-to end event execution, communications plans and post-event follow-up and extension.Lead/co-lead the event team for the execution of Partner events including alignment with Alliances and partner goals and objectives, event work-back schedules, alignment of keynote speakers and/or stories, analyst and press coverage, executive attendance, speaking and meetings, agency coordination, key messages coordination, ancillary activities, speaking sessions, recordings, digital presence, award wins, campaign alignment, thought-leadership amplification, and post event activation. Maintain global calendars of partner events and communications and feed Global Marketing calendar to help drive deeper alignment with our Alliances and partners for joint or aligned presence in market.
  • Lead as the integration point for Alliances and partners into global campaigns and events teams aligned with our existing marketing communications, solutions, regions and social/digital, events and operations to ensure communication and execution lands in our regions and into our alliances and partners scorecards to demonstrate marketing impact.
  • Program manage elements of our core programs around communications, partner specific joint marketing programs and efforts including, but not limited to client stories, analyst engagement and report prep, content creation, liaison with partners, communication to and through the alliances and partners individually, key wins and evidence programs, social and digital activation, external funding management, industry alignment, demand generation and more.
  • Align key metrics for programs against overall Alliances and Partners scorecards.Provide pre and post program follow-ups and analysis that convey the goals and success outcomes that align to driving Partner Influenced revenues.Tune and optimize our program engines to support a growing footprint of revenue impact. Equip quarterly reviews with comprehensive views into outcomes and learning.
  • Extend and Integrate with a growing team of partner marketers that represent our Alliances and partner marketing at the global level.Align closely with Global Event Marketing to feed ongoing calendar of events, best practices and overall global marketing events priorities. Align with area and regional marketing for integration, pickup and nurture from event back into day-to-day execution against marketing and alliance and partners objectives.

Experience, qualifications and attributes:

  • Leadership and stakeholder management; able to lead by influence and negotiate with people and teams at all levels

  • Able to see the big picture and execute to connect all the dots in a practical way; be able to prioritize and get the right things done at the right time
  • Highly collaborative and creative, with experience working in and leading cross-functional teams
  • Event execution, across all facets of planning, execution and post event management.
  • Knowledge of field marketing operations within a professional services organization
  • Great at building and nurturing relationships, across marketing, the business and alliance partners
  • 8+ years of experience in marketing in a technology industry B2B environment. Preference will be given to candidates with previous systems integrator, channel or alliance management experience and experience working with Microsoft and Accenture or our Tier 1 partners.
  • Understanding of the business (Accenture, Avanade and Microsoft) and the marketing supply chain (corporate functions, areas, regions/field)
  • Flexibility to work with stakeholders in various time zones as needed
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as familiarity with Microsoft collaboration tools, such as Microsoft Teams, Visual Studio.
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft ecosystem of products or working with or for Accenture is an asset.
