Global Innovation Lead – Senior Director

The role
As the Global Innovation Lead, you bring our global innovation architecture to life as a priority for our business and our clients and then translating that architecture to meet local market demands. Internally, you’ll advise account teams in the development of innovation agendas for our clients and mobilizing cross-functional teams to bring the plans to life. Externally, you’ll sell the story our achievements, present focus, and future potential in delivering results for our clients and their customers through the power of people and the Microsoft ecosystem.
About you
You’re a creative business thinker and an inspiring storyteller who leads from the front – with a client-first mindset. Although your ideas tend to be a couple steps ahead of others, you enjoy influencing and negotiating to bring clients and account teams along the journey with you, helping to progress bolder agendas that set clients up for today, tomorrow, and beyond. And after you introduce current and prospective clients to Avanade’s capabilities as an innovator and implementer, you leverage those successes and relationships to cement our reputation as their trusted innovation partner.
Day-to-day, you will focus on three key areas:
- Client Centric Innovation (i.e., “Create the Future” with our clients):
- Lead from the front with clients – guide and drive client innovation ambitions collaborating with client success teams and working directly with clients to be bolder on their transformation ambitions.
- thought leadership and sharing experiences to help clients understand how they can stay ahead of the curve
- deal pursuit, review, and approval
- Innovation Networks & Ecosystems:
- Develop strong relationships with the Microsoft Technology Centres, EBC, Innovation Hubs to be the glue that connects our client co-innovation network together. Find motions to activate together to progress client innovation agendas
- Optimize the value of innovation spaces – by investing in high traffic spaces while pivoting strategy on spaces with lower utilization and foot traffic.
- Find new opportunities to partner with universities to leverage their campus as innovation hubs for Avanade and a source for STEM talent.
Your skills
You are an experienced strategy and technology professional, and innovation thought leader with desire to change business outcomes through technology. You’re adept at partnering across a matrixed organization and an ecosystem of partners to bring together the best solutions.
Skills andexperience:
- Experience with sales principles and practices, including business development, marketing, and complex channel management
- Ability to effectively team with peers in a large organization, including significant experience with offshore teams and delivery
- Strong consulting and project-based background, including assessing and managing the opportunity and risk associated with large scale, complex projects
- 10+ years of relevant technology business leadership experience, including solution sales, creation, delivery, and business management
- More than 5 years of demonstrated people and/or business leadership experience, particularly within a consultancy.
