Job title: Data Architect/Modeller
Location: Farnborough or any main BAE site. With range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements.
Salary: £50,000+ per annum
What you’ll be doing:
- Providing architectural guidance, oversight, and assurance to data modelling.
- Working with business stakeholders to drive the adoption of data modelling standards and tooling.
- Analysing and translating business needs, creating coherent conceptual, logical and/or physical data models for relevant domains in the organization.
- Creating and maintaining the enterprise level business information model, data modelling standards, tooling, model repository management, and contributing to physical data models for new systems, models.
- Supporting the Enterprise Data Architect in the creation, realisation, and management of an end-to-end data architecture.
Your skills and experiences:
Essential
- Experience in data/information modelling
- Understanding of metamodels, taxonomies, ontologies, and challenges of applying structured techniques (data modelling) to less-structured sources
- Ability to present information concisely and to clearly identify key issues.
Desirable
- Experience in data architecture/analysis/engineering or equivalent roles
- Practiced at leading data modelling workshops, including defining business requirements, creating models, and reviewing output with stakeholders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including negotiation and influencing skills, credible at senior management level.
