Job title: Senior Network Engineer
Location: New Malden. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements.
Salary: Up to £51,900
What you’ll be doing:
- Network activities across the full systems engineering life-cycle.
- Designing (responding to design changes, High and Low Level Design, creating supporting technical documentation)
- Analysis, configuration development in a change control environment
- Product testing and supporting the resolution of issues with the network infrastructure
- Ensuring that communications function across the network architecture and that the network’s performance meets the necessary requirements.
- Providing direction, information, and recommendations regarding network configurations and installations on RN
- Carrying out investigations into operational problems or developments and develop and prepare solutions
Your skills and experiences:
Essential
- Configuration and setup of Juniper and Dell Switches and Fortinet Firewalls and of the technology behind a switched architecture and its workings
- Experience with configuring and installing client and server network software
- Current Juniper JNCIA, JNCIS or JNCIP certification
Desirable
- Administration and troubleshooting of Windows Server 2016 and Windows 10 Enterprise
- Experience of other operating/hypervisor systems including VMware ESXi Server 4/5, Linux (SUSE/RedHat) and working knowledge of SAN Technologies (iSCSI)

The team works to undertake a defined range of Network engineering design, development & test activities for the Type 26 programme in line with all relevant processes and quality requirements under the direction of the Network engineering team leader.
