E-Scan Radar and Radome Equipment Engineer
Would you like to play a key role undertaking design, integration and qualification tasks? We currently have a vacancy for a E-Scan Radar and Radome Equipment Engineer at our site in Warton.
As a E-Scan Radar and Radome Equipment Engineer, you will be performing Systems and Equipment engineering tasks, ultimately delivering radar and Radome equipment into platform integration, supporting a range of stakeholders.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work on cutting edge Radome technology which compliments the highly complex E-Scan Radar, bringing together items from multiple engineering programmes, enabling key technology for the UK customer.
Your main responsibilities as a E-Scan Radar and Radome Equipment Engineer will involve:
- Support the management of the Radar and Radome suppliers, including participation in the Supplier's regular engineering reviews
- Support the development of the new Radome with our Supplier, Meggitt Composites, in support of declaration of design and performance (DDP)
- Liaise closely with our international Avionics Joint Team (AJT) and associated stakeholders within Leonardo, Edinburgh to ensure all radar technical scope is captured
- Support the formalisation of radome design standard through Eurofighter GmBH. documentation set through to approval and issue
- Support detailed design activities for 'ECRS interim radar' including maintenance of the Equipment Specification ensuring all activities are completed on schedule and without prejudice to safety or quality
- Provide Systems and Equipment engineering review of supplier Documents in support of interim Radar DDP
- Provide support to the delivery of the Radar and Radome Equipment into systems integration and flight test - including creation and review of test plans & flight test reports
- Provide EDR support to radar Integrated Test Facility (ITF) activities for the Radar and Radome Equipment
- Provide support to post flight test data analysis using bespoke and cutting edge toolsets
Your skills and qualifications:
- HNC or Equivalent in (Systems or aerospace engineering)
- Knowledge of Supplier Management
- Knowledge of Airborne Radar Systems Integration
- Knowledge of Quality Management

You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and engage with a broad stakeholder group. Furthermore, you will have high attention to detail with the ability to maintain concentration for significant periods of time, this will display your self-motivation and organisational skills.

Salary: £40,056 – £44,040
