Job title: Oversight Analyst

Salary: £52,600+ dependant on experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Monitoring and assessing the services received from outsourced providers against the agreed SLAs and producing metrics and periodic reports to senior management, the BAPFIM board and the boards of Trustees
- Acting as one of two primary daily liaisons for operational issues to be resolved or escalated, obtaining and issuing instructions, whilst acting as an operational relationship officer
- Supporting Middle Office decision making, including correction of trade instructions to counterparties for review by senior members of the team, processing manual instruction types and creating draft collateral management decisions
- Assisting with the oversight of all outsourced processes, including support for other senior members of the BMOT in performing and evidencing of reviews for all processes
- Managing contact with our external outsourcing provider / custodian for daily operational activities, including any unresolved cash flow-related issues, and on a weekly and monthly basis for service review-related meetings
- Liaison with brokers – for any set-up related issues and throughout the day for any trade-related issues escalated by the outsourced provider
- Maintaining daily contact with BAPFIM (BAE Systems Pension Fund Investment Management) Portfolio Managers and external providers, internal and external auditors to provide assistance with fulfilling requests for data and documents (in conjunction with the relevant outsourced provider, where necessary)
Your skills and experiences:
- Prior investment operations experience with trade support for one or more asset types (e.g., equity, fixed income, mutual funds, listed and OTC derivatives)
- Significant prior experience in either a Back or Middle office or accounting / controls function within the asset management industry
- Familiarity with at least some of the following: collateral management, corporate actions, cash processing and operational control (ideally gained “hands on” and through Oversight capacity in a relevant investment setting)
- Investment Management Certificate (IMC) or an Investment Administration Qualification (IAQ) is desirable

The BAPFIM Middle Office team:
BAE Systems Pension Funds Investment Management (“BAPFIM”) is a leading in-house Pension Fund Investment Manager for BAE Systems Plc, managing over £27bn of assets. It is a diverse, multi-asset, global investment portfolio spanning public and private markets.
As an Oversight Analyst, you will work within the BAPFIM Middle Office Team (BMOT) and the purpose of the role is to support the BMOT in providing oversight of, and acting as an interface between, the BAE HO BAPFIM business and other providers of services. These include stakeholders in Group Pensions and the BAPFIM Finance Team, and the Custodian providing outsourced operations services to the Pension schemes and BAPFIM.
The role reports into the Head of Middle Office and supports another senior member of that team and liaises with key internal and external stakeholders.
