Curriculum Design Practitioner
Would you like to make a difference in defence by developing a variety of vital skills across BAE Systems whilst supporting UK sites to embrace change through the conception, creation and implementation of innovative assessment techniques? We currently have a vacancy for a Curriculum Design Practitioner at our site in Preston.
As a Curriculum Design Practitioner, you will be responsible for the coordination of Subject Matter Experts at our UK sites, to create modern, blended and impactful curricula for Apprenticeships and Skills Training.
The role is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is passionate about learning to come to a large organisation such as BAE and use their knowledge in developing curriculum content, supporting stakeholders in continuous improvement and be part of an inclusive team.
Your main responsibilities as a Curriculum Design Practitioner will involve:
- Identifying and recommending changes to enhance the efficient and effective delivery of training across our UK businesses
- You will be able to support UK teams with the design and production of non-qualification standards, exploiting all modern learning and assessment techniques
- You will work collaboratively with the UK delivery sites to develop learning and assessment materials for virtual and face-to-face delivery.
- You will be promoting the use of digital resources to benefit learning, skills delivery, teaching and continued innovation
- Creating and sustaining a culture of collaboration to enable the sharing of best practice and enhance the overall learner experience at a UK level
- Engaging with external organisations to leverage best practice and promote a shared culture of continuous improvement throughout BAE Systems in relation to all aspects of teaching, learning and assessment and the learner experience
- Being able to utilise modern delivery methods via the latest learning approaches such as: social, collaborative, video, app-based, user-generated content, gamification and digital learning whilst recognising the continued need for more formal delivery techniques where appropriate.
Your skills and qualifications:
- Online curriculum design experience/Curriculum design experience
- Experience of using LMS or VLE (Virtual Learning)
- Understanding of the intent, implementation and impact of the planned and delivered curriculum
- Working within training and education with a sound knowledge of Ofsted/SDS and other regulatory bodies
- Educated to Degree level or above with a teaching qualification e.g. PGCE or Cert Ed

Location: Preston
Salary: £36,000+ DOE
