Production Controller
Would you like to be part of a growing Production Control team, achieving the Master Production Schedule and Control Production/Repair Orders in line with the plan through to completion and budget? We currently have a vacancy for a Production Controller at our site in Portsmouth BroadOak.
As a Production Controller, you will be responsible for achieving the timely release of Production / Repair Orders and Participating in Contract Launch Process, driven by Projects.
This role will provide you with opportunity to develop your career within BAE projects or a Stores Team Leader role.
Your main responsibilities as a Production Controller will involve:
- Participating in Contract Launch Process, driven by Projects and only held depending on value
- Achieving the timely release of Production / Repair Orders
- Reviewing and action MRP Error Exceptions Messages and data hygiene reports
- Supporting the Engineering Change Process and Non-Conformance process
- Creating outbound delivery documentation ensuring compliance
- Understanding the interface with the Warehouse Management System
- Interfacing with other teams / organisations to provide a seamless service
- Providing advice and data to optimise the overall support solution and flexible approach to enable support throughout the Logistics function to meet business requirements
- Reviewing and propose Production Schedule Changes
Your skills and qualifications:
- Knowledge of Production Control Activities Prime & Manufacturing and Spares
- Knowledge of Processing Repair notifications & Repair orders
- Be PC literate and competent with Microsoft Excel and able to use an ERP system to undertake the planning role.
- Hold awareness of general H&S/Environmental regulations and safe working practices
- Have a good understanding and knowledge of the repair and prime production processes
- Ideally hold a relevant technical qualification at ONC/HNC level or relevant experience
