PLM Infrastructure Specialist

Salary: £46,028 - 50,677

Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Proven experience of managing the application infrastructure of complex IT systems (preferably Engineering Systems)
- Experience in IT application infrastructure and hosting
- Installation and configuration of application servers (e.g. Apache HTTP Server, Tomcat)
Desirable:
- Knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter would be ideal but not essential
- Installation and configuration of software applications on Windows Operating Systems
- Knowledge and experience of Microsoft SQL Server
- Knowledge on software configuration management, specifically GIT

The Engineering Services Competency Centre team:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Engineering Services Competency Centre at Warton as an IT Application Infrastructure Specialist. It is an exciting and challenging role, which will present the opportunity to design and implement systems for the world’s most advanced military aircraft.
You will be responsible for the delivery of infrastructure/hosting activities for the Siemens based, end-to-end Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) application - Teamcenter. You will have the opportunity to work on some exciting, leading edge projects within BAE Systems.
Within this role, you will be building the next generation of PLM tools for the BAE Systems Air Sector and the next generation of military aircraft for the next 20+ years. You will be responsible for the installation, configuration and deployment of Siemens PLM tools using Siemens Deployment Centre.
As this work will be involved in the initial phases of the lifecycle you will be able to help influence the direction and tool selection, with the potential to research integration and architecture tools. You will also undergo many cycles and learning, and will have the opportunity to progress in your career and take team leadership responsibilities.
