What you’ll be doing:
- A key element of the role will involve developing strong stakeholder relationships supported by clear communication and engagement strategies, ultimately driving improvement to a realised benefit for the business.
- Requirement also to assist in the development of functional capability training, coaching and mentoring for the wider Operational Excellence Function in Tools, Techniques and best practice
- Ensures viable and sustainable solutions are developed that take into account process, systems, and people dynamics
- Responsible for the successful delivery of programmes/projects with measurable benefits to the business, often with the cost of the change programmes paid for through anticipated benefits to the cost accounts.
- To govern project delivery and conduct relevant gate reviews against applicable Operational Frameworks.
- Lead assessments and analysis across process, people and systems (in line with Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People) to identify improvement opportunities and a baseline performance against clearly identified KPIs.
- You’ll also have people manager responsibilities in this role.
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Background in STEM or equivalent required
- Minimum 2.1 degree in STEM based subject or equivalent, or relevant work based experience
- Extensive knowledge of Operational Excellence / Continuous Improvement methodologies including Lean and Six Sigma, with a track record of delivery
- Working Knowledge of Project Management principles
- Working knowledge of Change Management principles
Desirable:
- Understanding of Manufacturing processes
- Undertaken training in Leadership
