Salary: £75,000 - £85,000 depending on experience + Car Allowance
What you’ll be doing:
- To translate the people strategy of the Weapon Systems UK business into a people plan that can be delivered aligning HR solutions with business requirements
- Lead the business in identifying, defining and implementing the appropriate organisation to deliver the business
- Definition of people solutions for the business and its existing and new contracts
- Provide people plans for new business opportunities and advice on the people implications e.g. resourcing / TUPE
- Promote and lead the development of talent in the business and sponsor the business Diversity and Inclusion Agenda
- Develops and oversees the implementation of the Communications and Employee Engagement Strategy in support of longer term Weapon Systems UK business and its objectives, vision and values
- To embed a Total Performance Leadership culture and mind-set is embedded within the Weapon Systems UK business
Your skills and experiences:
- Excellent and broad HR knowledge - experienced HR generalist. Able to manage the integration of all aspects of HR in solutions for the business. Understanding of employment law and requirements on the business e.g. TUPE
- Requires depth of vision and creativity and an ability to orientate and develop strategy for an HR service to support business objectives and strategy.
- Organisation design and development experience
- Outstanding influencing and interpersonal skills as well as an ability to integrate and to align effectively within and across industry and customer boundaries to gain mutual benefit.
- Proven ability to inspire, lead and influence multi-functional teams at senior level as well as the ability to motivate and direct the business through effective communication, strong leadership and adoption of Total Performance Practices

The Team:
Weapons Systems UK is currently seeking a strong entrepreneurial HR business leader who has proven experience of developing and overseeing the implementation of the HR Strategy in support of the longer term Weapon Systems UK business and its objectives, vision and values.
The role will have up to 5 direct reports with the added responsibility for approx. 200 BAE Systems employees covering a wide range of activities across program delivery and the supporting functions of Engineering, HR, Quality, Commercial, Procurement, and Business Winning.
