Job title: Procurement Bids Lead

Salary: up to £37,920

Referral Scheme Bonus: £1000

What you’ll be doing:

Creation and compilation of typically moderate complexity costed Bill Of Materials for bids and projects.

Compilation of accurate and timely material costings via supply chain interaction.

Establishing supply chain strategies

Completing the validation of enquiries and quotations from Supply Chain, ensuring they are in line with the scope of work.

Populating and maintain the cost models, ensuring the data stays current and in line with the scope of work.

Managing change to cost models in line with internally or externally driven change to the scope of work.

Providing data and information for internal reviews, meeting and in support to cost investigation and negotiations.

Bid Support for manufacturing to deliver fully costed material budgets.

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

Understands how to prepare cost data and information and identify cost reduction opportunities

Is able to read and interpret technical drawings/specifications

Current estimating experience

Has good mathematical skills and I.T. Skills, in particular Microsoft Excel.

Desirable:

Defence sector experience

SAP knowledge and experience

The team:

You will be working in a small Procurement team within our prestigious Small Boats division (wider team of 20 incorporating Manufacturing and Training Services) supporting a number of bids. This role will develop your estimating skills and potentially offer career opportunities within materials management or supervisory opportunities.
