Job title: Design Change Support Engineer

Salary: £35,000 depending on experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing a database of engineering requirements generated within the customer community
- Refining the requirements and their prioritisation with the customer (end user) to ensure all aspects are understood and are deliverable
- Surveying and validating proposed system/equipment changes to be able to assess the complexity of the change
- Producing high level engineering technical requirements to support the solution including defining acceptance criteria and activities
- Engaging with the drawing office to agree outputs for more complex engineering change
- Agreeing the timescales and opportunity to embody the changes based on prioritisation agreed with the customer
- Supporting the operations/production team in responding to any technical queries during embodiment
- Maintaining regular dialogue with the financial and commercial teams to ensure all activity remains within budget
Your skills and experiences:
Essential
- Must have the ability to apply engineering principles to refine the customer requirements whilst understanding the application of technical standards
- Must be able to interact confidently and competently with stakeholders at all levels, both internal (company) and external (supporting organisations and customer base)
- Must be proficient in using all Office based computer applications to generate reports, technical guidance etc
Desirable
- Basic CAD experience will be an advantage in producing a variety of technical drawings
- Experience working with Royal Navy platforms and Warship Support is desirable
