Salary: Up to £45,369 (Commensurate with skills and experience)
What you’ll be doing:
- Working on multiple weapon systems platforms, this will involve estimating, managing, and editing the AESPs (Army Equipment Support Publications) Technical Documentation to meet contract requirements.
- Work to be conducted in accordance with all company standards and practices.
- Influence product design by attendance of design reviews.
- Assist in development of Publications/ILS (Integrated Logistics Support) process and toolset to maximise team performance.
- Work in conjunction with/provide support to internal or external Technical Authors.
Your skills and experiences:
- Understanding of Technical Documentation requirements in a Military environment
- AESP Management Systems and processes.
- ILS principles and tailoring to meet project requirements including interfaces with the Publications function.
- Experience with IETM (Interactive Electronic Technical Manual) development, Technical Illustration processes, Desktop publishing and Engineering mark-up
- Knowledge of military organizations.

The Land and Naval Integrated Project Team (IPT)
An opportunity has arisen within the Weapon Systems UK Land and Naval IPT for a Technical Author. In this role you will be supporting existing platforms (4.5” MK.8 MOD 1 Naval Gun, AS90 Self Propelled Howitzer & 105 Light Gun) and the cutting-edge technology platforms of the future battle space.
You will have the chance to develop your support engineering skills in a fast paced highly skilled team, delivering business critical projects whilst maintaining high standards of innovation and creativity.
