Salary: £45500+ per annum

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leadership and management of the M777 Towed Howitzer ILS (Integrated Logistics Support) team in supporting changes to our existing product and developing support solutions to increase the overall reliability, maintainability and availability of the large in-service fleet.
  • Tailoring and delivery of contracted ILS deliverable to time, cost and quality targets
  • Responsible for the ILS elements of the Integrated Change Process, ensuring deliverables are on time and to the required standard and the team support design reviews
  • Implementation of design changes into the ILS dataset in accordance with the Integrated Change Process
  • Management of ILS changes (Problogs), including team performance against LCS ILS metric requirements
  • Configuration control of ILS source data including integration of sub-contractors deliverables and translation activities

Your skills and experiences:


  • Engineering experience, preferably in a military equipment design/support discipline
  • ILS principles and process knowledge, tailoring to meet project requirements and interfaces to publications
  • Sound engineering background in either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering


  • Experience of Managing/Leading a team

The Weapons Systems UK Engineering team:

Be part of the Weapon Systems UK Engineering team, playing a key role, leading the ILS team and working with multiple functions as we embark on a new 10 year contract. As ILS Manager you will be responsible for leadership and management of the ILS team working on a new performance-based life cycle sustainment contract. You will be working closely with the Technical and Projects teams to meet contract deliverables in a timely, to budget and accurate manner, interacting with the customer as part of review processes and maintaining strong customer relationships.
