Job title: Head of Procurement and Supply – IT

What you’ll be doing:
- You will be a member of the Indirect Procurement leadership team, and will be responsible for managing the functional activities
- Developing and implementing a UK & ROW IT category strategy covering all elements of category management
- Engaging with cross-functional UK & ROW teams in IT category management and strategy development, gathering requirements and creating practical technology roadmaps
- Using a wide range of tools to analyse the IT category and develop IT category strategy to minimize risk, leverage spend, support business initiatives, support sustainability agenda and prepare for future technologies
- Execute UK & ROW IT category sourcing strategy
- Working with the IT stakeholders and other functions to ensure category recommendations meet expectations and the best outcomes are achieved
- Managing supplier performance
- Understanding each business integrated business plan and align IT strategy accordingly
- Influence, coach and develop cross-functional IT team members and demonstrate inclusive leadership that inspires and promotes BAE Systems’ values and core behaviours
Your skills and experiences:
- Procurement experience having attained MCIPS membership and are working towards FCIPS
- Experience in delivering large scale hardware and software projects (including legacy systems)
- Having dealt with security challenges
- Thorough knowledge of procurement legislation
- Experience in managing multiple complex procurement projects simultaneously
- Strong leadership skills and experience in the line management of individuals and teams in a procurement and contract management environment

The Indirect Procurement team:
The role holder will be a member of the Indirect Procurement leadership team. Role reports to the Director Indirect Procurement Services, with functional reporting lines to Director of Enterprise IT, Director of UK & ROW IT Category Procurement and Chief Information & Technology Officer.
