Job title: Senior Finance Assurance Manager

Salary: £63,000+
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading all Financial Assurance activities and associated maintenance for the Digital Intelligence business. This includes the testing and assurance of Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR)
- Supporting the broader BAE Systems organisation to prepare for UK Corporate Reform through review of the existing Financial Controls Framework
- In the capacity of business partner, support the continued assessment of control performance and implement improvements where identified
- Overseeing the production, management and communication of a monthly control and compliance scorecard to monitor and influence control performance. Liaise with the Finance Leadership team to identify ways to add value through financial controls performance
- Coordinating external and internal audit interactions, being their point of contact for the business
- Monitoring and reporting the status of audit action completion, with responsibility for ensuring actions are completed on time, relying on influencing skills with stakeholders for delivery
- Ensuring finance Risk and Control Matrices are in place and updated for all relevant finance processes, working closely with process owners and shared service providers for maintenance
- Coordinating, maintaining, and reporting of quarterly Control Owner Self-Assessment activity, including the review and challenge of results with the Finance Director
- Leading and supporting ad-hoc projects within the finance function to drive business performance
Your skills and experiences:
- Finance Qualification (ACCA/ACA/CIMA)
- Internal or External Audit Assurance experience (‘Big 4’ Practice Audit experience is advantageous)
- Control’s assurance experience
- Strong financial control knowledge
- Experience of SAP and US SoX (Desirable)

The Financial Control Team:
You will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of financial control performance for our BAE Systems Digital Intelligence business. As a Senior Finance Assurance Manager, you will support the Head of Financial Control in ensuring the business has a robust financial control environment, in order to be compliant with the requirements of the BAE Group Financial Control Framework and Finance Policies Manual.
