Salary: Up to 38k dependant on experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Support the Combat System technical Lead for the integration of the Combat Systems equipment
  • Assist Technical Leads with the delivery and maintenance of the physical and transverse suite of information for the Combat Systems.
  • Assist with the production of design artefacts for detail design
  • Ensure that design rules for Integration of the Combat Systems are adhered to
  • Engage with the Platform System Disciplines to ensure that platform system interfaces are understood and agreed with the customer.
  • Assists the Technical Lead in the production of estimates and schedules
  • Create Combat Systems Architectures/Schematics and Cable Schedules ensuring compliance with Electromagnetic Environment Effects guidelines
  • Act as the Combat Systems stakeholder alongside the Parts and Bill of Materials Teams for the creation of Parts and Occurences for the Combat Systems

Your skills and experiences:


  • Experience of design/integration of Engineering Systems
  • Experience of System Physical Integration during the design lifecycle in a Defence environment
  • Understanding of System Engineering design Lifecycle
  • HNC/HND in an engineering or scientific discipline, or equivalent, or demonstration of comparable suitable experience


  • Combat Systems experience in a Naval environment

The Combat Systems team:

We design, develop, integrate and provide through-life support to naval combat systems that enable navies to protect nations. Vital information from ship sensors such as radar and sonar, are captured through our core product, the Combat Management System. This advanced technological capability allows ships crews to rapidly respond to potentially life-threatening situations.
