Job Title: UK Category Manager

Location: UK based remote working role with travel as business needs. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role

Salary: Up to £65,000 depending on experience plus car allowance

What you’ll be doing:

• Responsibility for leading a deployed cross business and cross functional team of professionals across the UK, motivating them to achieve the category vision and building category management
• Developing and implementing a category strategy to meet business objectives
• Owning and leading group supplier relationships
• Developing support material for category management standardising processes and best practice as a centre of excellence
• Managing stakeholders across the business, on the progress of the category strategy and delivery of business objectives including savings, negotiations and contracting

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

• Proven experience of category and supplier relationship management
• Ability to translate complex procurement guidance into simple, straightforward and practical advice
• Broad knowledge of the Company strategy, products and services, company structure and company procedures
• Proven experience of project and stakeholder management in a complex organisation

Desirable:

• CIPS qualified or working towards this
