Job Title: UK Category Manager
Location: UK based remote working role with travel as business needs. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role
Salary: Up to £65,000 depending on experience plus car allowance
What you’ll be doing:
- Responsibility for leading a deployed cross business and cross functional team of professionals across the UK, motivating them to achieve the category vision and building category management
- Developing and implementing a category strategy to meet business objectives
- Owning and leading group supplier relationships
- Developing support material for category management standardising processes and best practice as a centre of excellence
- Managing stakeholders across the business, on the progress of the category strategy and delivery of business objectives including savings, negotiations and contracting
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Proven experience of category and supplier relationship management
- Ability to translate complex procurement guidance into simple, straightforward and practical advice
- Broad knowledge of the Company strategy, products and services, company structure and company procedures
- Proven experience of project and stakeholder management in a complex organisation
Desirable:
- CIPS qualified or working towards this
