Job Title: Cost & Pricing Manager

Salary: Up to £56,000 depending on experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading, co-ordinating, and collating all bid/price costs, backed off to a robust basis of estimate, including DAREO (Dependencies, Assumptions, Risks, Exclusions & Opportunities)
- Independently reviewing and challenging costs
- Timely preparation of multimillion pound bid estimates using cost models
- Preparing independent “Should” cost analysis
- Responding to and leading price investigations across end customer and third parties
- Providing guidance and estimating expertise to Stakeholders to support of meetings and negotiations
- Driving Process and Continuous Improvement
- Using experience to influence and drive solution development
- Supporting, mentoring and developing team members
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Bid, Costing and Pricing experience
- Ability to think analytically and challenge the cost bid with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism
- Strategic thinker with the ability to influence stakeholders
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to understand, summarise and present large amounts data
Desirable:
- Experience in government contracting types
- ProPricer experience
- A Cost E or similar

The Cost & Pricing team:
Supporting a team that is responsible for the bid/price costs including cost modelling. As one of the prime contacts leading the cost review and challenge with the end customer, therefore needs the ability to communicate succinctly and professionally the complexities of the bid costs.
