Job title: Air - ILS Engineer

Location: Christchurch, Dorset

Salary: Up to £57,500 dependent on experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Responsible for the project metrics and reporting of the product support engineering capability, as required by performance based logistic support contracts
  • Schedule adherence of ILS activities to agreed milestones
  • Contribution to improvement in Engineering Key Performance Indicators
  • Analysing and allocating specification requirements, Reliability analysis and prediction, Maintainability analysis and prediction and Maintainability analysis and prediction
  • Writing specifications, Generating plans & reports
  • Planning and running maintainability/testability demonstrations
  • Preparation of Logistic Information Repository / Logistic Support Analysis Record, ILS plans, analysis reports and associated documentation
  • Preparation of ILS bid documentation
  • Level of Repair Analysis and spares and repairs modelling

Your skills and experiences:

  • Ideally degree qualification in related (STEM) subject or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge & experience of Technical Publications, both AESPs & IETP
  • Knowledge of engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of applicable Defence Standards for supportability and related specifications, e.g., Defence Standard 00-600 for Integrated Logistic Support, S1000D for Technical Publications, S2000M for Provisioning and spares management and Defence Standard 00-40 for Reliability Analysis
  • Experience of engineering systems and maintenance
  • Verbal and written communications abilities and experience of reporting of ILS metrics and presenting ILS material
