Job title: Senior Systems Engineer

Location: Warton / Flexible Hybrid working

Salary: Up to £49,834 dependant on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Analyse new and emerging customers’ requirements and provide a safety and avionic scoping for all the 7 main sub-systems teams
  • Production and maintenance of Functional Requirements Documents, capturing functional behaviour (including interfaces) of sub-system equipment. For detailed design activities, development of associated schemes and algorithms
  • Review of System / Sub-System problem reports resulting from various sources such as System Integration Test Rigs, Flight Testing and Customer feedback. Documenting the analysis/results and maintaining accurate logs and status information
  • Support formal reviews to ensure correct implementation of requirements and subsequent designs
  • Analyse Sub-System failure cases, capturing resultant hazards and intended mitigations

Your skills and experiences:

Essential

  • A degree in a STEM subject or equivalent relevant experience
  • Systems engineering background. Experience in requirements capture and ability to derive system requirements
  • IT Skills e.g. good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

Desirable

  • Experience of System Design Tools/methodology (e.g. Statemate, Artisan, Rhapsody, UML & Doors)
  • Experience of working with equipment ICD's
  • Experience of using JIRA Agile project management tool
  • Knowledge System Safety process (e.g. Fault Tree+)

The Eurofighter Typhoon Avionics Joint team (AJT):

Eurofighter Typhoon Avionics Joint Team (AJT) is responsible for the overall System Level Avionics design and partitioning across 7 sub-systems. The AJT is also responsible for the overall avionics safety analysis, qualification and certification of the integrated system and delivery of product to Customer(s). Development opportunities exist for candidates to progress into a team leader role.
